| 'The world is not beautiful. That's why it's beautiful.' - 'Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World' (complete Japanese title) is a series of short stories based on the book by Keiichi Shiguresawa. It tells the journey of Kino (a human) and Hermes (a bicycle who speaks human language). Kino and Hermes visit various countries, stay there for 3 days. They are perfect bystanders. 2 episodes. 'Mahou Tsukai no Kuni' (The land of wizards) - As a lttile girl has completed her work, she tries to persuade the head of the land to get rid of the statue of the great God in the plaza. 'Hon no Kuni' (The land of books) - On the way to the land of books, Kino saves a man in the desert. He gives a book to Kino in return. He says he escaped from the land Kino is heading. 'Is there any danger?' Kino askes. 'It's forbidden to write a book.' he replies... |
