| Japanese title is 'Eikoku Koi Monogatari: Emma'. TV anime series by Studio Pierrot based on the manga by Kaoru Mori, set in Victorian England. - In those days, a gentleman should never fall in love with a housemaid. 2 episodes (Chapters 1-2). 6-volume series. - Chapter 1: When William Jones visits his childhood governess Kelly, he sees a beautiful young housemaid named Emma and instantly falls in love. Later, on the way back to the Kelly's place with an excuse that he lost his gloves, he incidentally meets Emma. He asks her to walk with him for a while. On the way back, he notices her glasses are not exactly tuned to her eyes. He offers to give her new ones, but she refuses because the glasses have special meaning to her... / Chapter 2: Atually, William finds it hard to deal with Kelly. So he avoids to go to her place, instead, he frequents to an antique shop nearby, hoping to see Emma passing by. Meanwhile, his father, who persists that he should be more sociable, arranges a meeting with a daughter of a respectable family, Eleanor Campbell... |
