|
| Criminals roam the chaotic landscape in a place that resembles a post-World War II Europe in this second volume of the inventive anime that mixes the drama of war with comic overtones. The title refers to a supposedly elite division of the military assigned with the task of bringing the law back to a world where people have been surviving by any means necessary. But although they are composed of so-called sophisticated aristocrats, the Pumpkin Scissors are somewhat of a running joke. Can Lieutenant Alice Malvern reform the unit and bring respect back to the military and the people they are trying to help, or is the chaos of the day too much to handle? And what secrets might she uncover along the way, especially those her bosses might not want her to know about? |
