| [ATG Films] Japanese movie. Semi-autobiographical, yet surrealictic tale from Shuuji Terayama, , one of the most important and influential artists in Japan after 1960's. - There is a boy living with his mother in a poor small village in the northern area of Japan. His only pleasure is listening to the words of his late father by traditional seance. One day, the circus comes to the village. One member tells him stories of a distant town. It makes the boy want to get out of the village. |
