| PLOT SYNOPSIS for D.O.A.: The End |
 |
| From the mid-'70s to the mid-'80s, San Francisco's North Beach played host to a vibrant outlaw music scene. During this time, Dirk Dirksen, a producer at two seminal venues the Fab Mab and On Broadway Theater staged over 3,200 concerts with over 20,000 artists. One raw rock 'n' roll protest band from Canada, D.O.A., played the Fab Mab in 1978 and went on to become a mainstay and social conscience of the scene. By the mid-'80s, changing trends caused many of the outlaw artists to move from North Beach to a section south of Market Street where one club, the DNA Lounge, carried on the legendary Fab Mab tradition. It was there, at 10:30 on a Tuesday night, November 20, 1990, that D.O.A. gave its final performance. Now D.O.A. lives on...on DVD. Includes: Suicidal, Burn It Down, Guns, Booze and Sex, Lumberjack, To Hell and Back and more! |
