| PLOT SYNOPSIS for Antique: Seiyou Kottou Yougashiten Vol.1 |
 |
| Japanese TV series written by Keiwa Okada. The title roughly means 'Antique: a confectionery with western antiques'. Episodes 1-2. 6-volume series. Ep.1: Eiji Kanda used to be a young professional boxer who won the Japanese championship. He was forced to retire due to the detachment of the retina. He disappeared. A journalist Momoko Iizuka is trying to find him. Keiichirou Tachibana, a son of wealthy family, is preparing to open a confectionery 'Antique', with the genius paticier Yuusuke Ono. Eiji, now lives in his ex-girlfriend Akane's apartment, happens to find 'Antique' during the running. He is so impressed with Ono's cake that he asks him to let him be his apprentice. Ep.2: Momoko finds Eiji working in 'Antique'. She visits the shop as a customer and find many strange customers, such as Tamami, who only sees cakes but doesn't buy any. One day, Tooru, a boxer who once knocked out by Eiji, comes to 'Antique' with his girlfriend Namiko. For Tooru, it's unbearable to see Eiji working pleasantly in a confectionery. Namiko asks Tooru to retire, because she's pregnant. |
