| PLOT SYNOPSIS for Mobb Deep: Get Away/ Hey Luv DVD Single |
 |
| For nearly a decade, Mobb Deep's split personalities, Havoc and Prodigy, have voiced the unspeakable truths of their Queensbridge, NY streets with more brutal honesty and ruthless consistency than any others in the rap world. From their 1993 debut, 'Juvenille Hell,' through to 1999's platinum Murda Muzik and last year's Infamy, the duo have consistently 'dropped a gem on 'em' with bangers such as 'Shook Ones Pt. II,' 'Survival of the Fittest,' 'Quiet Storm (remix)' and 'Burn.' This year The Infamous return with the upcoming soundtrack for their 'Murda Musik' movie and this DVD Video single, which includes Infamy's current singles 'Hey Love (Anything)' feat. 112, and 'Get Away.' With 'Hey Love (Anything),' Hav and P deliver their first thug love song, but if you're expecting some sappy boy meets girl scenario, think again. Beneath the laid-back track and romantic 112 chorus, 'Hey Love (Anything)' is actually a story of boy meets girl and straight heists girl from poor unsuspecting husband. Adding some sour to the whole mix, 'Get Away' finds The Mobb doing what they do best, spitting grimy street narratives over a bleak EZ Elpee beat. |
