| PLOT SYNOPSIS for Lords Of Hokkaido: Nature |
 |
| As seen nationally on PBS, 'Lords of Hokkaido' spends a year with a family of red foxes and their wildlife neighbors: sika deer, red squirrels and red crowned cranes, as all struggle to survive the harsh Siberia-like winter on Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido. While the father hunts for food, the mother nurses and warms her seven cubs. When spring arrives, whooper swans are seen 'displaying' to each other and the regal, red-crowned crane begins it's call and mating dance ritual. As the year ends, the fox family separates, and the cubs begin to face the world on their own. |
