| [NHK DVD] From 1956 to 1976, NHK invited many talents from Italy to come and perform opera in Japan for broadcast. These events are knwon as 'Lirica Italiana'. This DVD series is taken from the NHK's archive. Previously available LD editions used film's audio track, this time they have been replaced with source tape for radio boroadcast, which was recorded simultaneously. This volume contains complete acts of 'Otello', recorded on Feb. 4, 1959 at Tokyo Takarazuka Theater. Alberto Erede conducts NHK Symphony Orchestra. Stage production by Bruno Nofri. |
