 |
| 'The world is not beautiful. That's why it's beautiful.' - 'Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World' (complete Japanese title) is a series of short stories based on the book by Keiichi Shiguresawa. It tells the journey of Kino (a human) and Hermes (a bicycle who speaks human language). Kino and Hermes visit various countries, stay there for 3 days. They are perfect bystanders. 3 episodes. Ep.1 'Hito no Itami ga Wakaru Kuni' (The land where they can feel other people's pain) - Kino and Hermes come to a land where they see no human. Everything is done by machines, and people stay in their homes. On the 3rd day, they see a man. He tells them this is the land they can feel other people's pain... Ep.2 'Hito wo Kutta Hanashi' (An absurd story, or a story of cannibalism) - Kino and Hermes find a tent during the blizzard. There they find 3 worn-out men. It smells terrible...
