| PLOT SYNOPSIS for Azumi: Standard Edition |
 |
| Based on the manga by Yuu Koyama. - Early in the 17th century, some people in high places of Tokugawa Shogunate thought the ruling power of Tokugawa had not yet firmly established. Tenkai, a priest with mysterious past who was very iunfuential in Tokugawa's government, was one of them. He believed any seeds of threats to Tokugawa must not be overlooked. He ordered Gessai to create a group of warriors to eliminate the possible threats. Azumi was a girl who lost her family in the battles. She was picked up by Gessai. Along with other orphans, she was raised by him, and trained to be a perfect killer. 10 years later, now the orphans were teenagers. It's time for the actual missions... |
