| 'The world is not beautiful. That's why it's beautiful.' - 'Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World' (complete Japanese title) is a series of short stories based on the book by Keiichi Shiguresawa. It tells the journey of Kino (a human) and Hermes (a bicycle who speaks human language). Kino and Hermes visit various countries, stay there for 3 days. They are perfect bystanders. 2 episodes. 'Kikai Ningyou no Hanashi' (The story of a mechanical doll) - Kino and Hermes meet an old mechanical lady in the woods. 'Kanojo no Tabi' (Her journey) - Kino meets a man with a scar on his face in a bar. He says he is going to escort a woman on the journey. He used to be a bad man, and he killed her fiance those days. 'It's gonna be a long journey. By the way, what's the most important thing on the journey, Mr. Kino?' he asks. 'It's simple. Don't lose your life.' Kino answers. |
