|
| Based on the manga by Jooji Morikawa. The title means 'The First One Step'. The story of this OVA is set between the end of the original TV series and the TV special 'Champion Road'. It's a kind of side story, since it features 2 relatively minor characters: Ryou Mashiba and Tatsuya Kimura. Mashiba once fought Ippo in rookie tournament, but moved to the different class afterwards. He is also a brother of Ippo's girlfriend. On the other hnd, Kimura is Ippo's colleague in the same boxing club. These 2 guys are going to fight the Japanese championship. |
