|
| Far into the future, civilization has spread out over the galaxy, inhabiting stars and planets within the Earth's solar system. Chaos reigns, and weak governments have fostered the spread of lawlessness. A genetically modified group of former soldiers terrorize humanity as they kidnap children to continue their lineage, as they have been rendered infertile by science. Known as the Raiders, they attacked Dante Montana's family years ago, taking his son and killing his relatives. Now a bounty hunter, he combs the outer reaches of space in a converted luxury space liner, the Tulip, forever seeking his son Travis. He is joined on board by his niece Percy, who he adopted when her parents were killed by the Raiders; the holographic Caravaggio; special services officer Callista; Lucretia, the officer assigned to the ship by its owner Rudolpho to keep Dante in line, and Rudolpho himself, who eventually comes on board as a member of the crew. During the second season a new captain assumes Dante's role, but the position remains within the family. |
